  • The attic apartment is located in a building that has been renovated multiple times over the years, resulting in a patchwork of different architectural styles and elements. The renovation aims to create a clear and harmonious unity with spacious flowing rooms. The hallway becomes a connecting element known as "The In-between Room," which opens up to the bathroom and the window with an external view through a sliding door. This creates spatial continuity and openness. Custom-made carpentry furniture plays a crucial role in the design of the renovation. They optimize the available space and establish a harmonious connection between the different rooms. Special attention is given to designing a spacious kitchen-living area that invites communal dining and communication. Only natural materials and gentle color tones are used, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. High-quality fixtures and products are carefully chosen to emphasize the quality and elegance of the renovation. Every detail is thought out and executed meticulously to create a cohesive overall concept.

  • The apartment in a historic building from the founding period of 1899 is undergoing renovation to meet modern needs. The focus is on renewing the bathroom and kitchen, while the other rooms have only been gently touched up with patching and painting work. Particular attention is given to restoring the beautiful black and white tiled floor. The tile size and the 45-degree installation angle lend an elegant appearance to the rooms. For the wall surfaces, such as the shower niche and the kitchen's work backsplashes, black tiles are chosen and installed at a 90-degree angle. This gives the vertical elements a distinctive presence and creates an interesting contrast to the rest of the tiles. In the kitchen, the dark matte green adds a color accent and creates a pleasant atmosphere. Special focus is placed on simple and well-thought-out details, joints, and connections to achieve a high-quality and aesthetic appearance. These small yet carefully executed elements constitute the charm and uniqueness of this project.

  • In Seebach, a new building is planned on a small square plot, intended to house 10 flexibly usable apartments. Five layers define the nearly square building volume. Two flexible 4-room apartments are accessed from the centrally located stairwell. The core zone forms the solid centerpiece, with living spaces arranged around it. The outer layer accommodates private rooms. A large room with a bathroom is positioned in the center. The two additional rooms can be flexibly connected to the living space, enabling a variety of living arrangements: from a luxurious 2.5-room couple's apartment to a 3.5-room small family apartment, and even a 4.5-room shared flat. The structural design follows the principle of distinct layers: the inner stabilizing core is designed as a solid concrete structure. The outer shell consists of a clad lightweight timber frame construction. Despite its compact form, the building's outer appearance presents a unified whole. A monolith that holds diversity together. The reflective fiber cement facade covers the structure like a homogeneous skin. The delicate wooden windows create a natural contrast with the robust facade.

  • The house on Laubholzstrasse is situated in an attractive, green, and peaceful single-family house neighborhood. The view of the lake and the spacious garden lined with lush greenery define the building's atmosphere. The bright interior spaces feature natural wood frames, white walls, and wooden parquet flooring. The attic space is opened on the north side and expanded with a wooden dormer. A new bathroom with a view of the treetops is added. The consistently natural color spectrum sets the concept for the surfaces of the new bathrooms and the kitchen. We proposed ceramic tiles in a dark green shade combined with clean and fresh-looking white surfaces made of ceramic and plaster. In the kitchen, the floor receives a rust-red accent, evoking the style of the 1960s.

  • The new residential building is located in the vibrant Kreis Four as part of a block perimeter ensemble from the founding period in Zurich. Situated in the preservation zone, the design of new buildings is primarily derived from the urban context. The street facade is divided into a mural two-story base and a delicate brick relief. The courtyard facade contrasts with the street-side façade. Big windows can be fully opened in the summer, expanding the living space into the outdoor area. The sun protection consists of a delicate metal grid covered with plants. The grid forms a circle over two stories, becoming the design element of the facade. The floor plan is simple and flexible: a core includes circulation and houses infrastructure and a flexibly connectable room in the bay window. The resulting living space is adaptable and can be further divided, accommodating anything from a large loft apartment to a 4.5-room apartment. The apartments are marketed as shells, allowing future residents to customize the interior according to their preferences. The building can thus be realized with an innovative load-bearing structure without interior walls. Minimal building technology reduces construction and operating costs and also permits above-average room heights.

  • The location on the slope of Hubelstrasse poses a challenge and simultaneously provides a unique opportunity for intriguing apartment typologies that extend not only horizontally but also vertically. The sloping terrain offers the possibility to create not just conventional three-story apartments, but individual townhouses. Both parts of the house have their own garden and the opportunity for terraces and balconies with views. The local building regulations for a maximum of surface area, rather than volume, allows for the construction of double-height spaces - more volume for free. The situation on the slope reinforces this concept, as the terraced house typology can be «filled» with living space. The building becomes a compact cube on one hand, which can have a positive impact on costs, and on the other hand, it creates a spacious, light-filled living area that connects the apartments vertically.
